In conjunction with the 6th Altered Barbie Show theme, "Celebrating Community Carnival & ReUse", SCRAP -Scroungers' Center for Reusable Art Parts -is cosponsoring a workshop with local Hot Glue Expert, Charlotte Davis.
Charlotte will provide step-by-step instruction on how to alter a Barbie or Ken, make an environment, or decorate a Barbie object. Add or remove limbs, embellish, make fantastic creatures or beautiful icons. This is a chance to work on your relationship with Barbie, or just have a good time.
This year the exhibit will be at Gallery 94124 located at 3900B Third Street. We invite those of you who are interested to meet at noon at the exhibit for a snap shot tour and then carpool over to SCRAP at 1 pm for the workshop.

Charlotte Davis is an artist who has worked in many media, producing art jewelry, assemblage, and sculpture. She was a co-founder of The Soft Touch, a Haight Ashbury Cooperative gallery that operated for more than 20 years.
